Bahrain Reaffirms Commitment to Peace at Washington Meeting

Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, said that the participation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the first meeting of the Peace Council in Washington reflects Bahrain’s firm commitment to peaceful solutions and dialogue.

The meeting, held in the US capital, brought together founding members of the Peace Council. The ambassador noted that Bahrain’s role as a founding member highlights its continued efforts to promote cooperation between countries, religions, and peoples based on mutual respect, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence.

The session was led by US President Donald Trump. The ambassador said King Hamad’s participation reflects Bahrain’s dedication, under the leadership of His Majesty and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support peace and security in the region.

He stressed that Bahrain supports efforts to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in a way that meets the aspirations of the region’s people. He also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to contributing to the reconstruction of Gaza to ensure a better future for its people.

The ambassador described the Peace Council as an advanced step toward achieving comprehensive and just peace in the region. He highlighted the importance of dialogue and peaceful solutions while rejecting division and conflict.

He also expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for the efforts of the US President to implement the second phase of the proposed peace plan, which includes securing a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, facilitating reconstruction, and creating new hope and opportunities for both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.
