Al Hilal Healthcare Partners with Fujifilm to Launch GCC’s First AI-Powered MRI System in Bahrain

In a major move to revolutionize diagnostic standards, Al Hilal Healthcare Group has signed a strategic partnership with Fujifilm Middle East FZE during the World Health Expo Dubai 2026.
This collaboration marks Fujifilm’s first comprehensive association with the group in Bahrain and aims to equip the new Al Hilal Premier Hospital with cutting-edge imaging technology.
Under this landmark agreement, the hospital — Al Hilal’s 10th branch — will feature a first-in-GCC AI-powered MRI system, alongside advanced CT imaging, high-end digital X-ray systems, and mobile X-ray units.
Technologies
These technologies are designed to enhance diagnostic precision while significantly streamlining clinical workflows for better patient outcomes.
The agreement was formalized by senior leadership from both entities.

Mr. Abdul Latheef Uppala expressed pride in the association, noting Al Hilal’s history of introducing advanced solutions to Bahrain.

Dr. Sharath Chandran emphasized that embracing Artificial Intelligence is central to the group’s strategy for superior clinical results.
Fujifilm’s Atsushi Tateishi and Mohamed Sokrab highlighted that the installation of flagship systems like the Echelon Synergy 1.5T MRI and Supria CT underscores their commitment to low-dose imaging and patient safety.
This integration of AI-enabled technology is set to redefine radiology services in Bahrain, positioning Al Hilal Premier Hospital as a regional leader in patient-centric, technology-driven healthcare.
