Derasat takes part in Munich security forum

Munich Abdulla Mohammed Al Ahmed, Executive Director of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), participated in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, held in Germany.
The conference convened heads of state and government, ministers, leaders of international organisations, as well as a distinguished assembly of experts and directors of leading think tanks from around the world.
During the conference, Al Ahmed took part in several plenary and subsidiary sessions that examined a range of significant international issues and addressed key contemporary global challenges.
Maturity
He emphasised that Gulf think tanks’ participation reflects the region’s research maturity, enriches international discourse with regional insights, and supports collective security, multilateral action, and efforts to address global crises at their roots.
The Executive Director also conducted a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the conference, discussing matters of mutual interest with leaders and senior officials from various countries.
