Bermuda Premier Meets BACA President during Bahrain National Museum Visit

Manama: The Honourable E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, visited the Bahrain National Museum as part of his official programme in the Kingdom, marking a cultural highlight of his visit to Bahrain.
The Premier was welcomed by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), who briefed him on Bahrain’s cultural strategy and the Authority’s ongoing initiatives in heritage protection and cultural development.
During the meeting, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed highlighted the positive relations between Bahrain and Bermuda and expressed interest in strengthening cooperation, particularly through cultural projects, exchanges and partnerships that encourage investment in heritage and creative industries.
The BACA President then accompanied the visiting Premier on a guided tour of the museum, where he viewed the permanent exhibitions and key collections that document Bahrain’s long history through successive civilisations and archaeological discoveries.
Premier David Burt praised the Kingdom’s cultural legacy and described the museum as a valuable reflection of Bahrain’s historical depth and identity. He also commended the role played by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in safeguarding national heritage and promoting Bahrain’s cultural presence internationally.
The visit concluded with both sides reaffirming their intention to advance collaboration in cultural and heritage-related fields, as part of broader efforts to deepen relations between Bahrain and Bermuda.
