Bahrain Transport Minister Holds Talks With UN Resident Coordinator

Manama: Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met with Khalid Abdulsalam Al Mekwad, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss strengthening collaboration between the two sides.
The meeting focused on expanding joint cooperation between the ministry and UN agencies, with discussions covering multiple sectors of shared interest. Both sides reviewed opportunities to enhance coordination in support of international initiatives and advance objectives linked to sustainable development.
Officials highlighted the importance of continued engagement to align national priorities with global development frameworks, reinforcing Bahrain’s commitment to multilateral cooperation.
