Manama: The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced that the Hawa Al Manama festival will continue for two additional days following strong public interest and widespread demand from both participants and merchants in Manama Souq.
According to the authority, the festival will now remain open on Friday, January 16, and Saturday, January 17, welcoming visitors daily from 5:00 pm to midnight. The decision comes amid sustained high attendance levels and positive engagement from citizens, residents, and tourists drawn to the event’s diverse offerings.
The festival presents a collection of creative experiences inspired by the period between the 1960s and 1990s, an era that witnessed notable cultural and economic change. Its programme includes heritage-focused activities that highlight the character of the historic souq, such as live performances, archival displays, and interactive attractions that recreate aspects of everyday life from past decades, alongside dedicated spaces designed for families and visitors of all ages.
