HM King, HRH Crown Prince appoint new executives at SIO

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have announced a series of key appointments at the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), strengthening the organisation’s leadership team.

Under Decree (75) of 2025, HM King appointed three new Deputy Chief Executive Officers:

• Abdulrahman Abdulla Jassim Al Thawadi, Director of the Economic Policies Directorate at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Insurance Affairs

• Mohamed Abdulhakeem Ahmed Abdulmalek, Director of the Central Procurement Directorate at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Operations

• See - ma Ahmed Mohammed Al Mahmood, Director of the Change Management and Business Process Re-engineering Directorate at the Information and eGovernment Authority, as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Pensioners’ Affairs Separately, under Edict (80) of 2025, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister appointed new directors at SIO:

• Maha Sadiq Abdulkarim Al Shehabi – Director of the Actuarial Studies and Risk Management Directorate • N a w a l Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Awaid – Director of the Legal Affairs and Inspection Directorate

• Faisal Abdullah Saad Al Huwaihi – Director of the Communication and Awareness Directorate

• Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Al Janahi – Director of the Registration and Contributions Directorate

• Fatima Hassan Ahmed Jassim – Director of the Retirees’ Services Directorate The appointments were made following proposals by the Minister of Finance and National Economy and approval by the Cabinet. All appointments take effect from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
