The Director of the Anti-Corruption Crimes Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, Lt-Colonel Mohammed Jassim Al Khadri, led the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), held in Qatar.
The conference addressed a number of key issues related to the implementation of the Convention’s provisions, most notably enhancing international cooperation in combating cross-border corruption crimes, developing technical assistance programmes and capacity-building, as well as following up on the work of the relevant working groups on implementation review, prevention, and asset recovery, in addition to reviewing reports issued by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
