HM King renews pledge to meet citizens’ aspirations for ‘progress, stability and dignified life’

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has renewed his steadfast pledge to advance the Kingdom of Bahrain, serve its people, and fulfil their aspirations for progress, stability, and a dignified life.

“On this national anniversary of lasting significance… the pledge is renewed to advance Bahrain, serve it and meet the aspirations of its people for progress, stability, and a dignified life,” HM the King said, emphasising the nation’s enduring commitment to unity and development.

Speech

HM King Hamad delivered a speech while patronising the National Day celebrations held yesterday at Al Sakhir Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, marking Bahrain’s National Days, the 26th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne, and the accompanying national occasions.

He said: “As we observe this precious anniversary — rich in lessons of glory and the unity of the national ranks — we are required to draw inspiration from it to renew our shared resolve to maximise efforts.”

While also praising the invaluable contributions of citizens, HM the King noted: “There is no occasion more fitting than this national platform to express our satisfaction and pride in the honourable contributions whose impact is evident in every field of service and productivity.”

The celebrations commenced with a 21-gun salute in honour of the occasion, followed by the playing of the Royal Anthem and a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.

In his keynote address, HM the King highlighted the principled approach established by the nation’s founders, noting that Bahrain’s historic progress continues to flourish through the dedication and contribution of its sons and daughters.

He paid special tribute to the pioneers of national service, acknowledging their generous contributions and noble deeds that enrich the Bahraini experience.

“We pay tribute in particular to the pioneers of national service, whom we celebrate on this auspicious day to thank them for their generous contributions and noble deeds,” His Majesty remarked.

Following the Royal address, HM King Hamad presented honourary medals to 39 distinguished citizens and officials, recognising their exceptional contributions across government, military, scientific, cultural, youth, and professional fields.

Pride

On behalf of the honourees, Nujood Rashid Al Jar, Director of Evaluation and Analysis Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office, expressed pride and deep appreciation for the Royal recognition She conveyed heartfelt congratulations to HM the King and to the people of Bahrain on National Day, affirming that His Majesty’s trust represents both a great honour and a responsibility that inspires continued dedication, sincerity, and excellence in serving the Kingdom.

The list of honourees included senior military officials such as Major General Staff Ali Hassan Al Majed Al Nuaimi, Colonel Staff Shaikh Faisal bin Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Isa Al Hassan, as well as notable civilian contributors including poet Bader Nasser Bouresli, engineers, academics, and leaders in social and professional initiatives.
