Bahrain Paralympic Committee Hosts First Paralympic Gathering for Students

Manama: The Bahrain Paralympic Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, organised the first Paralympic gathering for intermediate and secondary school students. The event was held at the Isa bin Rashid Sports Halls and saw participation of 70 students across public schools.

The gathering featured workshops in various Paralympic sports, including Badminton, Taekwondo, Athletics, Wheelchair Racing, Boccia and 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball. These workshops were supervised by specialised coaches, aiming to support students with determination in sports and identify talent for future national teams.

Ali Mohammed Al Majed, Secretary General of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, highlighted the importance of this event in promoting paralympic sports and expanding opportunities for young athletes.
