Jewellery Arabia 2025 once again demonstrated why it remains the Middle East’s most prestigious jewellery exhibition, transforming Exhibition World Bahrain into a showcase of global luxury.

With more than 700 brands and tens of thousands of visitors, this year’s edition reaffirmed its status as a meeting point where tradition, innovation and storytelling converge through rare pieces and masterful artistry.

Ancient beauty

Among the most captivating showcases was a Greek jewellery house led by designer Elena Ioannidi and her father, who spoke exclusively about their family’s remarkable artistic journey.

Their craft is not simply a profession but a legacy passed down through generations, originating from Elena’s grandfather whose original designs still inspire their work today.

Their pieces, entirely handmade, are created from gold, gold-plated silver and precious stones, each infused with a deep sense of history.

Their collections draw directly from three millennia of Greek heritage, with motifs that can also be found in museum artefacts.

Egyptian art

Certain designs even carry influences from ancient Egyptian art, reflecting the cultural crossroads of past civilisations.

One of their standout creations is a necklace inspired by the twisted rope of their own curtain at home, demonstrating how personal stories and historical forms come together.

Some pieces feature ancient Greek kings, including Alexander, blending royal symbolism with modern refinement.

Elena explained that many designs originate from sketches by her grandfather, which her father then evolves to harmonise the spirit of antiquity with contemporary aesthetics.

Rare masterpieces

In another exclusive encounter, an Indian jewellery house unveiled two extraordinary art pieces that drew considerable attention for their rarity and craftsmanship.

The first is an Italian-carved masterpiece featuring an owl as the central figure set within an intricately sculpted forest scene of bark and leaves.

The design aims to represent an entire forest within a single artwork, and the artist’s name is delicately engraved on the shell.

The piece, sourced from Italy, forms part of the jeweller’s mission to promote this refined Italian carving tradition.

Amber

Their second highlight was an amber creation unlike any other. Amber, formed not as a stone but through fossilised tree sap over more than a century, provides the foundation for a piece adorned with diamonds and centred around a carved emerald.

Sourced from Mongolia, this exceptional specimen reflects both geological history and artistic ingenuity, creating a conversation piece rooted in natural wonder.

A watch boutique participating at the fair introduced a compelling fusion of horology and Bahraini heritage.

Their designs revolve around natural Bahraini pearls and mother of pearl, placing local identity at the heart of modern watchmaking.

Some models showcase Bahraini pearls set inside real oysters, enhanced with backdrops of mother of pearl or shimmering blue opal.

Another design presents loose pearls arranged against a mother of pearl background, creating a fluid sense of movement.

Customers can also personalise their pieces by choosing colours, stones and design elements, making each watch a unique extension of its owner.

Jewellery Arabia 2025 became far more than a traditional exhibition.

It felt like stepping into a living world of stories, where heritage, innovation and artistic identity came alive in every display.

The Greek artisans brought centuries of craftsmanship to life with designs shaped by three millennia of history, while Indian jewellers unveiled rare Italian and Mongolian masterpieces that carried the weight of culture and time.

Even the watchmakers added their own chapter by honouring Bahrain’s natural treasures through pieces that blended technique with national pride. Together, they created an experience that went beyond luxury.
