The 3rd Asian Youth Games event embodies Bahrain’s dedication to transforming its hosting of major sporting events into a platform for advancing cultural and civilisational exchange among nations.
This was emphasised by His Excellency Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, as he attended a cultural reception organised by the Ministry of Information in honour of the delegations participating in the Games, hosted by the Kingdom until tomorrow.
The event was held at the Heritage Village in Ras Hayyan.
Bonds
Al Noaimi noted that the event also aims to reinforce the bonds of friendship, coexistence, and tolerance among diverse cultures across the world, reflecting the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The minister highlighted that sport today represents a vital bridge for human connection and a platform for reinforcing the values of friendship, peace, and mutual understanding.
It also serves as a positive cultural interaction and a catalyst for closer communication between people and nations.
Venue
Dr. Al Noaimi noted that choosing the Heritage Village as the venue for the Bahraini Cultural Night symbolises the Kingdom’s deep-rooted national heritage and rich popular traditions that reflect the spirit of Bahrain and its enduring human story.
He added that the event showcased the authentic features of Bahraini culture and the Kingdom’s distinctive cultural and tourism assets, which make Bahrain a leading destination for continental and international events.
The cultural evening featured a variety of artistic and heritage performances, along with displays of traditional crafts that reflected the richness of Bahrain’s cultural legacy and its unique identity that harmoniously blends authenticity with modernity.
