Bahrain Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Statehood at UN Security Council Session

During the UN Security Council’s open discussion on “The Situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Issue,” the Kingdom of Bahrain reaffirmed its unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the two-state solution and international legitimacy.

Represented by Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal, Member of Bahrain’s Permanent Delegation to the United Nations in New York, the Kingdom underscored the importance of renewed diplomatic efforts and constructive dialogue to achieve peace and security in the region. Ambassador Jamal commended recent international initiatives, including the “Comprehensive Gaza Agreement” and the “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit,” along with the “International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Cause” held in New York, which culminated in the “New York Proclamation.”

She further reiterated Bahrain’s steadfast belief in resolving conflicts through peaceful negotiations and diplomacy, emphasizing the Kingdom’s readiness to work closely with the international community to build a more secure, stable, and prosperous future for the people of the region and the world.
