Kerala Chief Minister receives Grand Welcome from Malayali Diaspora

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was accorded a massive reception by the Bahrain Malayali community upon his official visit to the Kingdom. The event, titled 'Pravasi Malayali Sangamam' (Expatriate Malayali Gathering), took place at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) in Segaya and witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of over 3,000 attendees.
The organisers made extensive arrangements, both inside the BKS Diamond Jubilee Auditorium and in the outdoor areas, to accommodate the large crowd eager to welcome the Chief Minister.

In his address, Chief Minister Vijayan emphasized the strong fraternal relationship between India and Bahrain, commending the valuable contributions of the Malayali expatriates to the host nation’s development. He specifically praised the efforts of the Malayalam Mission, which operates through the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, for its excellent work in preserving the language and culture among the diaspora. The Chief Minister also elaborated on the various social welfare schemes and development initiatives implemented by the Kerala Government for its citizens. The event saw a high-profile lineup of dignitaries offering felicitations. Speakers included H.E. Vinod K. Jacob, the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Mr Saji Cherian, Kerala State Minister for Culture; Dr Jayathilak, Chief Secretary to the Government of Kerala and M. A. Yusuff Ali, Chairman of the Lulu Group International.
The gathering was chaired by the Organizing Committee Chairman, P. V. Radhakrishna Pillai. P. Sreejith, the Convener of the Organizing Committee, delivered the welcome address, and Varghese Karackal, General Secretary of the Kerala Samajam, offered the vote of thanks, concluding the successful community reception.Various dance and music programs were also staged along with the event.
