Bahrain Sports Channel is preparing for a landmark moment as the Kingdom readies to host the Asian Youth Games from October 22nd to 31st.

The national broadcaster will deliver what officials describe as the most extensive sports coverage ever undertaken in Bahrain.

Ali Hussain, Director of Sports Media, said the channel’s team has been mobilised for a mission unlike any before.

“Both Bahrain Sports Channel One and Two will broadcast live every day,” he said. “We have allocated seven live broadcasts daily to cover 26 sports across men’s and women’s categories.”

More than 145 competitions will be aired across multiple media platforms. The plan also includes daily morning and evening studio programmes featuring results, analyses, and expert commentary from athletes and sporting icons.

Beyond live action

The coverage will go beyond the competition itself.

Recorded shows will highlight behind-the-scenes efforts, fan experiences, and memorable tournament moments.

“All finals and the opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcast live,” Hussain added, noting that the broadcasting plan follows the highest professional standards to ensure every Bahraini home can share in the Games.

The Asian Youth Games are expected to draw thousands of young athletes from across the continent, turning Bahrain into a regional hub of sporting spirit and media excellence.
