Ten firms praised for top Bahraini hiring drive

The Ministry of Labour has thanked 10 Bahraini companies for recording the highest hiring of Bahraini staff in the third quarter of 2025, from 1 July to 30 September.

The firms named are Lulu Bahrain Hypermarket, Silah Gulf, McDonald’s, Bapco Refining, Day to Day Discount Centre, Quick Zebra Services, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), Star Manpower Supply, Gulf Air Group Holding and Hajeen food delivery.

According to ministry figures, these 10 companies together hired 1,453 Bahrainis between January and the end of September 2025.

Lulu Bahrain Hypermarket led the first nine months with 244 Bahraini recruits. McDonald’s was next with 220, followed by Silah Gulf with 186.

Gulf Air Group Holding placed fourth with 141 Bahraini hires. 6-Pence HR Solutions ranked fifth with 121, the same number as Bapco Refining (Employees’ Branch) in sixth. Bahrain Apparel Trading came seventh with 119. BAS was eighth with 109, Zain Bahrain ninth with 96 and Day to Day Discount Centre tenth with 96.

The ministry said it issues the names of companies with the highest Bahraini hiring every three months.

It described the move as a message of thanks to firms that hire citizens and as part of its drive to make ‘the Bahraini the first choice in recruitment’.
