Onam Sadya 2025: ILA and ICAI Bahrain Host Grand Celebration of Unity and Culture

The Indian Ladies Association Bahrain (ILA) and the ICAI Bahrain Chapter successfully hosted a spectacular Onam Sadya 2025 at the Intercontinental Regency Hotel.

The event brought together approximately 250 guests from the Indian diaspora, celebrating Kerala’s beloved harvest festival with elegance, authenticity, and profound camaraderie. Guests were welcomed in traditional fashion, setting a tone of warmth and heritage for the day.

Addresses

The program began with addresses from the leadership of both ICAI and ILA, followed by a symbolic group photograph highlighting the strong synergy between the two organizations.

The celebration featured a vibrant line-up of cultural performances and competitions such as Thiruvathira dance performed by ILA members, a soulful Veena recital and an expressive Bharatanatyam performance. A lively Best Dressed Kerala Couple Competition, with prizes generously sponsored by Ford, Musical interludes provided by talented IIPA singers, a spirited Tug of War competition between the ICAI and ILA teams, a high-energy Kerala dhol performance that filled the hall with rhythm and excitement were also featured.

The centerpiece of the celebration, the authentic Onam Sadya feast, was served in two rounds on traditional banana leaves. The organizing committees extended their heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, performers, sponsors, and guests whose participation made the event unforgettable.

Onam Sadya 2025 stands as a shining example of what inclusivity, meticulous teamwork, and cultural pride can achieve within the community.
