Stage set for psychiatry conference

Government Hospitals have announced that the Third Bahraini Psychiatry Conference will take place on 9–10 October 2025, in collaboration with Education Plus Company.

The conference is a prominent scientific event that brings together leading doctors, specialists, and researchers to discuss the latest developments in diagnosis, treatment, and psychological research, exchange expertise, and promote scientific collaboration in the field of mental health.

This edition will carry the theme: “Mental Health of Women and Children.”

On this occasion, Dr. Maryam Adhbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals, affirmed that the Third Bahraini Psychiatry Conference is being held following the success of previous editions organized in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Positive outcomes

The previous editions achieved positive outcomes in the healthcare sector and contributed to knowledge and experience sharing among specialists, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional hub for psychiatry and integrated healthcare.

The conference activities will focus on four main pillars: identifying the mental health needs of women and children; promoting mental health and well-being for mothers and newborns; determining evidence-based practices in perinatal and women’s mental health; and addressing psychosocial factors affecting the mental health of children and adolescents.
