Rainy Season Readiness, Market Reforms, and Housing Projects Top Agenda

The Committee for Cooperation between the Capital Trustees Board, municipal councils, and government agencies held its regular meeting, chaired by H.E. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture.

During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between government entities and municipal councils to implement more service projects that meet national goals and community needs. He highlighted the vital role of the Capital Trustees Board and municipal councils in Bahrain’s development, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to ongoing coordination to ensure projects and services move forward according to plans.

The Minister also encouraged adopting innovative initiatives and discussing municipal councils’ proposals with relevant authorities to reach decisions that benefit the public.

Eng. Saleh Taher Tarada, Chairman of the Capital Trustees Board, said the committee acts as a key link between municipal councils and government agencies. He noted that its regular meetings help improve coordination, enhance municipal services, and exchange expertise to ensure the efficient implementation of projects that serve the community.

Tarada added that the committee provides an important platform for municipal councils to present ideas and initiatives, supporting strategic decision-making and integrated project execution. He reaffirmed the Capital Trustees Board’s commitment to continued cooperation, which contributes positively to service quality and urban development.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the rainy season, proposed amendments to certain articles of the Building Regulations Law, and a draft decision on organizing public and central markets. Updates were also reviewed on infrastructure projects in the Northern Governorate, the implementation of detailed land plans, and progress on the East Sitra Housing Project.
