Cabinet Meeting Focuses on Development, Education, and Regional Cooperation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting held today at Al-Sakhir Palace.

At the start of the meeting, His Majesty expressed appreciation for the government’s efforts under the leadership of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, praising his continuous attention to all areas of national progress and development.

His Majesty emphasized the ongoing advancement in national projects and stressed the importance of continuing development, enhancing efficiency in implementing plans, and ensuring sustainable achievements that meet the aspirations of the Bahraini people for a prosperous present and a bright future.

The King also extended his gratitude to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the warm welcome and hospitality during the official visits of the Crown Prince and His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs. His Majesty praised the results of these visits, which have strengthened bilateral cooperation, noting that the Cabinet reviewed a report by the Minister of Foreign Affairs detailing agreements and announcements made during the Crown Prince’s official visit to Egypt.

His Majesty offered heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to students at all educational levels on the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, asking for their success and commending administrative and educational bodies for their dedicated efforts in providing a motivating learning environment that reinforces education as a cornerstone of sustainable national development.

In recognition of the International Day for Democracy, the King proudly recalled the progress achieved in enhancing the role of constitutional institutions and highlighted the importance of national institutions in supporting development under the rule of law, which forms a key pillar of the ongoing reform process and national participation in decision-making.

Regarding regional and international developments, His Majesty reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the need for a just and lasting solution, protection of civilians, and the release of hostages, as well as continued relief efforts and reconstruction in Gaza. He also reiterated Bahrain’s firm support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, stability, and territorial unity, rejecting any external interference and underlining the importance of respecting the country’s historical and religious diversity. His Majesty stressed ongoing engagement with regional and international partners to strengthen trust and secure necessary support for Lebanon as it enters a reconstruction phase.

The Cabinet also approved a memorandum from the Coordinating Committee on updates to the fourth version of the Unified Framework for Priority Government Programs.
