MPs Call for Stronger Action to Employ People of Determination in Bahrain
Bahraini MPs Khalid Buangah and Hisham Al-Awadhi have submitted a proposal urging the government to implement laws that support the employment of people of determination across the Kingdom.
The proposal highlights that Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 is built on the principles of sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness, while also aligning with international agreements that safeguard the rights of persons with disabilities.
The explanatory note stressed that integrating people of determination into the workforce benefits the entire Bahraini society. Their empowerment creates more inclusive and diverse workplaces, which in turn enhances productivity and creativity in both public and private institutions.
The MPs called on the government to move quickly in enforcing existing legislation and related decisions, while also developing practical mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation. They emphasized that such steps would strengthen Bahrain’s position as a nation committed to supporting and empowering people of determination.
