MP Proposes End-of-Ramadan Leave for Teachers and Staff
MP Hamad Al-Duwai has submitted a proposal to the Council of Representatives suggesting that educational and administrative staff in Bahrain’s schools and universities be granted leave during the last week of Ramadan.
The initiative aims to reduce the workload on teachers and administrative employees, allowing them to recharge and spend quality time with their families. Al-Duwai highlighted that this would have a positive impact on the work environment and contribute to improving educational outcomes in the long term.
Al-Duwai emphasized his intention to present the proposal well ahead of the holy month to allow sufficient time for review and finalize a plan that achieves its objectives. He noted that most Ramadan-related proposals are submitted too close to the month, making their implementation difficult in practice.
