Bahraini Business Delegation Visits Cairo’s Public Free Zone

As part of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, to Egypt, a delegation of Bahraini business leaders, including senior officials and private sector representatives, visited the Public Free Zone in Nasr City. The visit aims to strengthen economic and investment ties between the two brotherly countries, building on their long-standing commercial relations that have contributed to a significant increase in trade exchange.

The tour was organized by Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, in cooperation with Bahrain’s Economic Development Board, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the visit, the delegation explored the manufacturing and operational capabilities of several leading companies in the global automotive supply chain. The tour included a field visit to Leoni Egypt, a company specializing in the production of wire harnesses and power cables.

The Bahraini business delegation also highlighted Bahrain’s attractive investment environment, which has strengthened the kingdom’s position as a regional and international investment hub.

Notably, the Public Free Zone in Nasr City, established in 1973, is one of the largest and most prestigious free zones in Egypt.
