Second Batch of Bahraini ICT Specialists Ready to Drive Digital Transformation

This morning, Lieutenant General His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology, attended the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the Technical Workforce Development Program. The event was also attended by His Excellency the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Interior, the Director General of Public Security, and senior officials from various government and private entities.

Organized by the Information & eGovernment Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, the program is one of Bahrain’s leading national initiatives aimed at preparing and qualifying Bahraini talent in the fields of information and communication technology. It supports the Kingdom’s strategic aspirations and economic recovery plans.

On the occasion, His Excellency Shaikh Rashid praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for Bahrain’s ongoing development and modernization efforts, particularly in digital transformation and the expansion of e-services. He also highlighted the guidance and oversight of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, in advancing national efforts in the ICT sector, which have helped Bahrain achieve a prominent international position.

His Excellency emphasized that the technological progress reflected in the program should serve as a model for all government institutions, contributing to higher efficiency and improved quality of life in society. He encouraged those wishing to be part of the future to embrace ICT knowledge and engage seriously with technological development.

He further noted that investing in qualified national talent strengthens the Kingdom’s ability to keep pace with global changes. His Excellency thanked the CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority and stressed the importance of continuing training and developing the program. He also congratulated the graduates, program organizers, and all partners involved in launching one of Bahrain’s most important national initiatives.
