Bahrain Strengthens National Cybersecurity Capabilities at “Cyber Shield 2025” Exercise

Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to advancing national cybersecurity capabilities. He emphasized that cybersecurity is a strategic priority to protect national achievements and support the Kingdom’s comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Cyber Shield 2025: A Nationwide Collaborative Exercise
The statement came during His Highness’s visit to the national cybersecurity exercise, Cyber Shield 2025, organized by the National Cybersecurity Center under the theme “Supply Chain Attacks.” The exercise involves wide participation from government agencies, vital sectors, and private organizations. He was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center.

Building a Safe and Resilient Digital Environment
His Highness highlighted that Cyber Shield 2025 demonstrates the national awareness and coordination required to address modern cybersecurity challenges. He praised the efforts of Bahraini professionals participating in the exercise, noting their dedication to creating a secure and resilient cyber environment aligned with the Kingdom’s digital future ambitions.

Hands-On Insight into Advanced Cyber Operations
During the visit, His Highness reviewed all stages of the exercise, its implementation mechanisms, and the advanced cyber scenarios presented. The exercise aims to strengthen national readiness against the continuously evolving digital threats.
