Expat killed in brawl during New Year celebrations
An expat was killed in a labour accommodation in Salmabad in the wee hours of Friday.
Bahrain's Interior ministry tweeted that an 'Asian was arrested for killing another Asian in Salmabad.'
According to a source, the incident happened during a new year party in a labour camp in Salmabad. A brawl erupted during a drunken revelry and one of them was stabbed to death.
The body of the expat has been moved to the Salmania Medical Complex (SMC) mortuary. Further details were not available.
The police are investigating the case. The deceased is said to be from the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.
