The Ministry of Works has announced the start of construction for the Bahrain-Kuwait Health Center in the Galali area, part of the Primary Health Care Centers network. The project aims to strengthen Bahrain’s healthcare infrastructure and improve the quality of services provided to residents and citizens.

Engineer Mariam Abdullah Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Construction and Maintenance Projects at the Ministry, stated that the new health center will cover an area of 6,828 square meters and feature a two-story main building. The ground floor will house 14 consultation clinics, 14 examination rooms, and an emergency department with 12 beds. The first floor will include a mother-and-child care unit, eight dental clinics, and facilities for supporting medical and administrative services.

Engineer Amin emphasized that the design of the center meets all approved health standards and engineering specifications. Sustainability and green building practices have been incorporated, including energy-saving systems, to protect the environment and natural resources.

She also praised the support of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, highlighting its role in contributing to national development and exemplifying successful public-private partnerships.
