New BDF officers sworn in
Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received at the BDF General Command a number of officers who graduated recently from military colleges and universities, in the presence of the Minister of Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Youssef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma.
The new graduates, led by the son of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Lieutenant HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, took the official legal oath.
The commander-in-chief congratulated the graduates, and thanked them for the tremendous efforts they had exerted while studying, calling on them to be dedicated in assuming their national duties and serving the kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander.
He also lauded the efforts of HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman, who graduated from the Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) with honors and obtaining the college Commandant’s award for his distinction and discipline.
The commander-in-chief urged the new officers to take advantage of the knowledge and experience they had acquired while assuming their duties along the affiliates of the BDF.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa issued directives to the new officers to continue learning and benefit from the various training programmes provided by BDF for its affiliates, wishing them every success.
He asserted that BDF will continue harnessing all capabilities to supply all of its battalions and units with the latest modern weaponry, and provide the best training opportunities for its personnel so as to contribute effectively to the development and progress boom witnessed by the kingdom in all fields, wishing BDF affiliates every success in assuming their national duties.
Acting Director of the BDF General Command Major-General Hassan Mohammed Sa'ad, Inspector-General Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al-Nuaimi and a number of senior BDF officers attended the oath-taking ceremony.
