Two Bahraini citizens died in separate Iraqi cities while participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, and were laid to rest in Najaf on Monday.
Hajj Sayyid Ibrahim Al-Sari, from the Sanabis area, passed away on the road between Najaf and Karbala after feeling tired and exhausted. In a separate incident, Hajj Sayyid Salman Al-Abbar, from Manama, died in the city of Kadhimiya.
Final farewell
The funeral for the two men was held on Monday, with their bodies buried in Al-Ghari Cemetery in Najaf. Family members and mourners attended the burial to pay their respects.
Arbaeen marks the end of a 40-day mourning period for martyrdom of Imam Hussein, drawing millions of pilgrims each year to holy sites in Iraq.
