The Ministry of Sustainable Development has launched a national photography and video competition titled “Sustainable Tourism in Bahrain Through the Eyes of Youth.”
The initiative is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Nikon Youth Program, and Ashrafs W.L.L., as part of the annual “Youth City 2030” activities. The contest invites young talents aged 15 to 35 to capture their vision of sustainable tourism in Bahrain — combining creativity with national pride.
Participants are encouraged to submit photographs or video content that tell Bahrain’s story through a sustainable tourism lens — whether it’s ancient historical landmarks, cultural festivals, local food scenes, environmental activities, or sports and entertainment events. The goal is to reflect the essence of sustainable tourism while honoring the environmental, cultural, and social identity of the kingdom.
Finalists will take part in a specialized training program to develop their skills in photography, content creation, and understanding sustainable tourism principles. They will then apply these skills to produce creative visual projects documenting Bahrain’s unique tourism offerings in a sustainable context.
The competition will wrap up with a closing ceremony during the final week of Youth City 2030, where an exhibition of participant works will be held, followed by a judging session with experts in tourism, youth development, and visual arts.
Winners will receive valuable prizes, along with a chance to train under the Nikon Youth Program and have their work featured on national platforms — providing a strong boost to young creatives and their role in supporting Bahrain’s sustainable development goals.
The Ministry of Sustainable Development invites all interested youth to submit their entries by August 3, 2025, through the official online form at the provided link.
