HRH Prince Salman Drives GCC Unity

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to advancing regional cooperation during a meeting on Monday with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, His Excellency Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi.

The meeting, held at Gudaibiya Palace, comes as Bahrain prepares to host the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council in December.

His Royal Highness noted that the summit will serve as a key milestone in the Council’s journey, adding that the Kingdom is committed to ensuring a successful and productive outcome.

Summit preparations on track

HRH Prince Salman praised the achievements made by the GCC since its founding, underscoring the importance of building on this progress to meet the aspirations of its leaders and citizens.

His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen Gulf ties and ensure continued integration across all sectors.

His Royal Highness also reiterated Bahrain’s support for deeper coordination among member states, describing collective action as essential in light of ongoing regional and global challenges.

Regional role emphasised

During the talks, HRH the Crown Prince pointed to the GCC’s vital role in promoting peace, security, and stability throughout the region. HRH commended the spirit of solidarity that continues to define relations among Gulf nations.

HRH the Crown Prince also acknowledged the work of the Secretary General in strengthening the GCC’s institutional impact and praised efforts to enhance the Council’s standing both regionally and internationally.

Strategic partnership reaffirmed

The discussion also covered shared goals to expand cooperation across various areas of development.

HRH Prince Salman said Bahrain remains committed to supporting initiatives that reflect the ambitions of Gulf citizens for a more prosperous and dynamic future.

For his part, the Secretary General thanked His Royal Highness for his leadership and continued support for advancing the GCC’s strategic objectives.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and several senior officials.
