Two Gulf Air aircraft arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain from Turkmenistan, carrying 360 Bahraini citizens who had been repatriated from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The operation was carried out in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and under the supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport, the returnees were welcomed by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, and Bahrain Airport Services.

All necessary procedures were in place, including health screenings, to ensure their safety and well-being.

The Kingdom’s embassies in the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq coordinated the return of an additional 275 citizens who travelled by land.

Buses transported them from the Iranian city of Mashhad through the Al Abdali border crossing between Kuwait and Iraq, and the Al Shalamcheh border crossing between Iran and Iraq, as part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the safe return of Bahraini nationals.
