As part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat the issue of illegal labour and ensure compliance with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s residency laws and regulations, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation has carried out inspection campaigns across various governorates.

Since the beginning of this year, these campaigns have resulted in the arrest of 1,844 individuals for violating residency rules and 156 individuals wanted in connection with various security-related cases.

The General Directorate affirmed that the necessary legal measures have been taken against those arrestees, who were referred to the Public Prosecution.

It also confirmed that inspection campaigns will continue to be intensified in different areas of the Kingdom to tackle residency violators.

The Criminal Investigation Media Division stressed the importance of continuing to promote community partnership in support of efforts to address violations of residency laws.

It also urged the public to cooperate with security authorities by reporting any related information through the hotline 17718888 or the Main Operations Room (999).

All information will be handled with strict confidentiality.
