Preparations for MEET ICT, BITEX in full swing
The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and “WORKSMART” for Events Management announced the completion of preparations for the sixth edition of the “MEET ICT” conference and BITEX exhibition, to be held from January 4 to 6 under the patronage of the Minister of Transport and Communications Kamal Ahmed.
An elite group of local, regional and global speakers will participate in the sessions and workshops to discuss a wide range of current technical topics and the latest data of the sector around the world.
In addition, a number of key issues highlighting the importance of the information and communications technology (ICT) industry will be reviewed.
A total of 80 local, regional and international companies are expected to participate in the event. This is a 20 per cent increase compared to last year’s participation.
This in turn, enhances the prestige of the an annual event as a place to meet exhibitors from the public and private sectors to offer services, products, signing of agreements, contracts and engage in productive partnerships.
BITEX 2016 will cover various ICT sectors such as information and communication solutions systems, distance training and education, banking, insurance, health care, and other sectors.
Work Smart was keen to strengthen the participants’ benefit by building a permanent processing platform in a prominent place of the exhibition through which they showcase their products and services.
It is noteworthy that the previous edition of MEET ICT Conference had seen widespread success where nearly 20 speakers from Bahrain and abroad took part, while BITEX gallery attracted around 70 Information Technology Companies from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Italy and India, in addition to the host country.
