Filipino basketball training camp successful

The Filipino Club Basketball Group (FCBG) FIL Bahrain National Select Training Camp was successfully concluded on May 23, 2025 at the Muharraq Gym, Bahrain, a highlight in the development of high-level basketball talent in the Kingdom.

Organised by FCBG and Filipino Coaches in the Gulf, participants from Al Khobar, Riyadh, Jeddah and Bahrain went through intense high-level skill development, in-depth tactical training, and interactive team building exercises.

The camp was not merely designed to hone sporting skill but also to instill discipline, and more knowledge of the sport.

The organisers and coaches praised the players’ dedication and passion and termed the camp as a move in the right direction in popularising basketball to greater heights among Bahrainis and other Filipinos in the Gulf.

As the camp wrapped up, organisers were hopeful regarding upcoming projects and burgeoning pipeline of talent to make its mark both locally and internationally.

FCBG and FIL Bahrain publicly expressed gratitude to all officials, sponsors, coaches, and athletes who helped make it happen.

Success with the project indicates dedication to higher standards of basketball in Bahrain and throughout the Gulf.
