The Public Prosecution has ordered the closure of six private educational institutions found to be operating without the necessary licenses.

It also ordered the pretrial detention of a defendant involved in providing unauthorised educational services.

The Chief Prosecutor of Ministries and Public Entities confirmed that investigations were launched following reports submitted by the Ministry of Education, based on the findings of field inspections conducted by specialised teams across various regions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The inspections revealed that the six institutions were offering academic programs across multiple disciplines to students ranging in age from three to 18 years old. Some of these facilities had enrolled up to 60 students without securing the proper licensing.
