Deputy Prime Minister Receives Indian Parliamentary Delegation

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received a visiting delegation from the Parliament of India, led by Member of Parliament Baijayant Panda. The meeting took place in the presence of Ghanem bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.

During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the deep-rooted historical relations between Bahrain and India, founded on mutual respect, shared values, and long-standing cooperation. He emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance bilateral ties to serve the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples across various sectors.

The Deputy Prime Minister commended the significant role played by the Indian community in Bahrain’s development journey. He noted their active contributions across diverse fields and stressed that the appreciation and respect they enjoy reflect Bahrain’s enduring values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, openness, and respect for cultural and religious diversity.

Shaikh Khalid also reiterated Bahrain’s consistent stance on regional and international issues, reaffirming the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to peace, dialogue, and diplomacy as essential tools for resolving conflicts. He emphasized that maintaining security and stability remains fundamental to achieving sustainable development.

For his part, MP Baijayant Panda expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s efforts in strengthening bilateral cooperation and affirmed India’s commitment to advancing strategic ties with the Kingdom. He also extended his best wishes for Bahrain’s continued development and prosperity.

The meeting served as a reaffirmation of the strong partnership between Bahrain and India and a shared vision for future collaboration.
