Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received the BDF's 50th annual Hajj delegation on Sunday, marking their departure to the Holy Sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs.

Royal Greetings and Prayers for a Blessed Journey

During the farewell reception, the Commander-in-Chief conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister. He prayed for the delegation's success in performing the sacred rituals of Hajj alongside their fellow pilgrims, asking Allah to shower them with blessings and grace.

A Tribute to Dedication and Service

Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed emphasized that the 50th BDF Hajj delegation is a reflection of His Majesty the King’s continuous commitment to honouring the service and sacrifices of the BDF personnel. He noted that sending members of the armed forces on pilgrimage annually is a symbol of deep appreciation for their unwavering dedication to serving the nation with loyalty and sincerity.

Guidance and Reflections Shared

The Commander-in-Chief provided the delegation with valuable advice and spiritual guidance. He encouraged them to embody the true principles of Islam, to uphold unity and brotherhood with fellow pilgrims, and to demonstrate the tolerance and compassion of the faith.

He also urged the delegation to remember in their prayers the brave martyrs of Bahrain who gave their lives in service, as well as the soldiers stationed in the southern border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the Arab Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen.

Praise for Saudi Hospitality and Support

Sheikh Khalifa expressed his appreciation for the exceptional services and hospitality provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to pilgrims, enabling them to perform the rituals with ease and peace of mind.

He concluded by wishing the BDF delegation a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage, asking Almighty Allah to grant them a Hajj Mabroor (accepted pilgrimage) and to return with their sins forgiven. He also prayed for the continued prosperity and strength of Bahrain and for enduring unity and blessings across the Arab and Islamic world.
