High-Level Indian Delegation to Visit Bahrain Tomorrow

A high-level delegation of Members of Parliament, senior political personalities, and former Diplomats from India, led by H.E. Mr. Baijayant Panda, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, will be on a two-day visit to Bahrain on 24-25 May 2025. They are expected to have meetings with high officials of the Government and Parliament of the Kingdom of Bahrain and other stakeholders. The visit is taking place in the immediate aftermath of a terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, and subsequent related developments.
India and Bahrain share a very strong bilateral relationship. The bilateral trade in 2023-24 has reached USD 1.7 billion. India is among the top five trading partners of Bahrain. Two-way investments have increased 40% since 2019. From Q1 2023 to Q1 2024, there has been a 15% increase in investments in the tune of USD 200 million from India to Bahrain, bringing the total two-way investments to USD 1.56 billion. The number of tourists increased by 44% between 2022 and 2023, crossing 1 million tourist arrivals.
