Nurses, says MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen, carry out some of the most human work in the health field.
The profession, she believes, lies at the heart of care, where skill meets kindness and knowledge serves dignity.
She described nursing as a mainstay of Bahrain’s health services and said it deserves more than praise.
What matters, she argued, is steady support through training, career paths, and a workplace that allows nurses to grow and stay.
Bahrain’s progress in healthcare has been steady.
Its future, she said, depends on the strength of its nursing staff.
Any plan to raise the standard of care must begin by building up those who provide it.
Dr Al Dhaen also called for a wider effort to bring young Bahrainis into the profession.
That, she said, means fair pay, proper working conditions, and a setting that supports longterm service.
She pressed for a full review of training routes, with more chances for advanced learning and overseas study.
Such steps, she said, would help nurses stay ready for the changes and challenges that come with the job.
She thanked Bahrain’s nurses for their calm, steady work and their quiet care.
Their presence at the bedside, in every ward and every town, she said, is a sign of strength for the country as a whole.
