His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, met with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The meeting provided an overview of the measures adopted by the Kingdom of Bahrain to ensure labour market stability and growth, promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and generate high-quality opportunities for citizens, in line with the National Labour Market Plan (2023–2026).
The delegation was also briefed on recently enacted legislation aligned with international labour standards, aimed at enhancing market competitiveness and attracting high-value investment.
The IMF delegation commended the Kingdom’s efforts to support sustainable economic growth and acknowledged the ministry’s constructive engagement and responsiveness to inquiries related to labour market developments.
The delegation also noted Bahrain’s achievements in labour market reforms and in advancing national human capital development.
