HM King hails media’s key role in nation-building

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa acknowledged the national media’s contributions to promoting unity, defending national interests, showcasing Bahrain’s civilisation and cultural achievements, preserving core values and principles, and promoting tolerance and coexistence.

HM the King was speaking as he received His Excellency Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, yesterday at Al Safriya Palace.

HM King Hamad expressed appreciation for the efforts of the minister and media professionals in advancing the media sector and upholding its role in serving the nation and its citizens.

Dr. Al Noaimi expressed his sincere gratitude to His Majesty for the continued support and recognition of the national media and its personnel, as well as for his guidance in strengthening the media sector.

The minister presented to HM the King a summary of the outcomes marking the conclusion of the Manama Capital of Arab Media 2024 celebrations, along with an overview of the folk arts documentation project.

He also presented a commemorative gift to His Majesty on this occasion.

His Majesty commended the success of Manama’s selection as the Capital of Arab Media, describing it as a reflection of the Kingdom’s leading role in advancing Arab media, enriching the regional media and cultural landscape, and reaffirming Manama’s prominent media standing.

HM King Hamad praised the Ministry of Information for its efforts in hosting and organising a wide range of Arab media activities during the year, and highlighted the influential role of Bahraini media, which has earned recognition across the Arab world through its longstanding achievements driven by generations of dedicated and creative professionals.
