In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to advance digital transformation, and supported by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, the General Directorate of Traffic has introduced a range of digital services on the MyGov app.

Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Director General of Traffic, said that the initiative aims to enhance government service delivery through digital innovation, improving efficiency and accessibility for citizens and residents.

Licenses

Brig. Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab noted that the first phase of traffic services available on the MyGov app includes displaying driving licenses and vehicle ownership details, renewing driving licenses and vehicle registrations, and paying traffic fines.

Users can access these services via the enhanced eKey 2.0 system, which features biometric authentication through facial recognition for added security and ease of access.

In cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the transfer of all traffic services from the existing Traffic Services app to MyGov Director General of Traffic will be completed in phases.
