Minister of Health Receives Head of IOM Mission to Bahrain

Dr. Jaleela bint Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received Mrs. Aishath Ibrahim Shareef, the Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to Bahrain, today.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized Bahrain's commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to supporting efforts in combating human trafficking at all levels.

Dr. Hassan praised Bahrain's efforts in providing comprehensive healthcare services to residents, highlighting the advanced healthcare system that includes regular medical check-ups, health awareness programs, preventive vaccinations, and treatment services. These initiatives contribute to improving public health and preventing both communicable and non-communicable diseases.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two parties, explored avenues for joint collaboration, and reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

For her part, Mrs. Shareef commended Bahrain's significant efforts in promoting public health for all, stressing the importance of continuing the shared cooperation to develop health initiatives that align with the common objectives of both parties.
