Shura and Representatives Councils Reject Israeli Statements on Saudi Territory
The Shura and Representatives Councils have strongly condemned recent Israeli statements suggesting the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi Arabian territory, calling them offensive, irresponsible, and a violation of international laws and the United Nations Charter.
In a joint statement, both councils reaffirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its unwavering support for all measures aimed at preserving the Kingdom’s security, stability, and sovereignty.
The councils also reiterated Bahrain’s firm stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent and sovereign state on their own land. They stressed that achieving lasting peace in the region requires adherence to international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, which aims to foster stability and coexistence.
Furthermore, they highlighted the "Bahrain Declaration" issued during the 33rd Arab Summit held in Manama last May, which called for concrete and irreversible steps toward implementing the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy.
The statement underscores Bahrain’s commitment to upholding regional stability and supporting diplomatic efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue.
