Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, the Youth Leadership Association, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Shura Council, successfully hosted the 8th Youth Forum and marked the closing of the 7th Parliamentary Youth Program. Over 40 young men and women participated in the event, which focused on empowering the youth of Bahrain through political engagement, leadership development, and legislative simulations.

The forum was officially opened by Mr. Reda Ibrahim Munfredi, Chairman of the Shura Council's Youth Affairs Committee, who spoke on behalf of the Chairman of the Shura Council. Mr. Munfredi conveyed the Chairman's greetings and best wishes for the continued success of the Youth Leadership Association's programs, which strive to enhance leadership, creativity, and innovation among young Bahrainis. He praised the initiative for fostering the growth of youth leadership in the Kingdom.

The opening session was attended by members from both the Shura and Representatives Councils, as well as Mrs. Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council. The participation of these dignitaries highlighted the strong support for youth initiatives that promote civic engagement and development.

Throughout the forum, discussions were led by several prominent figures, including Dr. Mohamed Ali Hassan Ali, Chairman of the Shura Council's Public Utilities and Environment Committee, Mr. Ali Hussein Al-Shahabi, Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights Committee, and Dr. Hani Abdullah Al-Sa’ati, member of the Youth Affairs Committee. Their involvement added depth to the conversations and offered valuable insights into various issues impacting the youth of Bahrain.

The forum covered a wide range of topics, including youth development, sports, the economy, and social issues, all examined through the lens of existing legislation and laws. The sessions provided participants with the opportunity to engage in simulated debates, mimicking the discussions held in the Shura Council’s legislative committees. The simulated environment allowed the young participants to debate key issues, exchange views, and develop a deeper understanding of the legislative process.

The Parliamentary Youth Program, which is a key initiative of the Youth Leadership Association, was designed to inspire political participation among young people. By offering a platform for youth to engage with real-world legislative processes, the program aims to nurture their leadership skills and encourage them to take an active role in shaping the future of Bahrain.
The forum also allowed for the exchange of forward-thinking ideas, ensuring that the perspectives of young Bahrainis are incorporated into future policies and decisions. The success of this year’s forum and the Parliamentary Youth Program underscores Bahrain’s commitment to fostering a generation of informed, active, and capable leaders who will contribute to the Kingdom’s continued growth and development.
