Bahrain Security Forces Respond to Over 16,000 Calls in July 2024

The Ministry of Interior in Bahrain has released comprehensive statistics for July 2024, showcasing the diligent efforts of the country’s security forces in maintaining public safety and order.
During this month, the National Emergency Operations Centre received a substantial total of 16,751 calls. In response, patrol units were deployed to attend to 13% of these calls. A significant portion of the calls, approximately 66%, pertained to emergency situations, reflecting the urgent needs of the public. Traffic-related issues accounted for 28%, while security concerns made up the remaining 6%.
Additionally, the Coast Guard responded to 148 calls, demonstrating their readiness to address maritime incidents. Out of these, 89 calls were specifically related to search and rescue operations, highlighting the Coast Guard's critical role in ensuring maritime safety. The remaining calls included 21 concerning maritime accidents and 38 requests for assistance in various situations.
The National Ambulance Service also played a crucial role, receiving 4,646 calls throughout the month. Of these, 3,078 were related to medical emergencies, illustrating the demand for urgent medical attention. Moreover, 816 calls were for transportation from private hospitals and health centres to larger hospitals, while 328 calls were connected to traffic accidents. An additional 385 calls involved miscellaneous incidents, further emphasising the diverse range of emergencies faced by the service.
These statistics underscore the vital role played by Bahrain's security forces in ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens. Their prompt and effective responses to a variety of emergencies embody a commitment to public service and community safety, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and rapid intervention in times of need.
