Bahrain Polytechnic students win 2018 CFA Challenge

Bahrain Polytechnic was announced the winner of the 2018 CFA Institute Research Challenge in Bahrain in which other universities from around Bahrain were competing. Hosted by CFA Society Bahrain, the competing teams analysed the financial performance of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), which were then judged by CFA Society Bahrain and industry financial experts.

The winning team (Ali Dhaif Husain, Nawal Kaiser Nazier, Ameera Taher Mohammed, Faisal Alhamad and Layla Abbas Alkhabaz) from the Banking and Finance major will compete in the regional final in Dublin, Ireland in April 2018. The successful team will then compete in the Global Final in the same location.

Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Polytechnic, commented: “We are so proud of the effort that our students put in, and the quality of the report and presentation to win the local round”. He added: “At Bahrain Polytechnic, we focus on developing our students to become work-ready graduates, and this competition was the perfect platform to showcase their skills. I would like to thank the CFA Society Bahrain for hosting such a competition, and we look forward to participating in the next one.”
