Stage set for Bahrain Food and Travel Awards finale

Manama : Bahrain Food and Travel Awards has witnessed incredible response this year with over 120,000 votes cast for the 2016/7 award – almost double the number from last year, it was revealed. 

The second edition of the award, held in association with Food and Travel Magazine has witnessed the participation of more hotels, restaurants and establishments than ever before,  a statement released said. 

The winners will be announced at the Bahrain Food & Travel Bahrain Awards Gala Ceremony, which will be held at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain on 22nd February 2017. 

“The discerning public have made their voices heard, selecting an elite band of finalists, ensuring that the 2016/7 Bahrain Food & Travel Awards genuinely reflect not only public opinion but expert judgement too thus confirming Bahrain’s place on the culinary and tourism map,” Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa CEO of Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority said.

“Over the last few months our expert panel have made multiple incognito visits to each finalist, to assess quality, consistency and service, ensuring the Bahrain Food & Travel Awards remain the most prestigious and sought-after awards in the region,” added Salah Alhaiki, Publisher of Food and Travel Arabia.
