Bahrain condemns ‘Settlement Law’
Manama : Bahrain has condemned the so-called ‘Settlement Regularization’ recently passed by the Israeli Knesset in a bid to legitimise the confiscation of the Palestinian lands and expand construction of more settler homes.
“The law is a flagrant breach of international legitimacy as well as it is an indication of Israel’s adamant endeavour to abort peace efforts and drag the entire region into an even more dangerous phase,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement issued yesterday.
“While the ministry accentuates the right of Palestinian people to establish an independent state on all their national territory with East Jerusalem as a capital, it calls on the Israeli government to act seriously and desist from further Palestinian land confiscation,” it read.
